SSAC North Florida League adds more football teams and splits into two divisions
DAYTONA BEACH – The North Florida League from the Sunshine State Athletic Conference enters their third year and will have a total of 19 teams and two divisions.
The league’s first season in 2019 had 10 teams participating and Blountstown won the the championship with a 33-7 win over Baker.
Last season, the North Florida League had 13 teams, with Baker defeating Port St. Joe 39-7 to win the title.
The 2021 North Florida League will have an east division and a west division.
The East division will include Branford, Chiefland, Cross City Dixie County, Jasper Hamilton County, Hilliard, Mayo Lafayette County, Trenton, and Williston.
The West division will include Panama City Bozeman, Blountstown, Cottondale, Eastpoint Franklin County, Freeport, Graceville, Bonifay Holmes County, Bristol Liberty County, Port St. Joe, Sneads, and Wewahitchka.
The North Florida League members can still compete in the FHSAA Class 1A playoffs after the conclusion of the North Florida League Championship Game.
